Worplesdon Place Hotel - Guildford

I loved fantastic breakfast, particularly good views.

Reasonably sized and recently renovated room and extremely comfy bed so I slept well. The stuff where both incredibly nice and outstandingly accommodating. The setting of hotel was particularly good, to Guilford town centre.

Its location by the brewery was beautiful.

Clean room, nice decor, and a lovely bar/lounge area with a cute atmosphere to relax after exploring the city make this hotel a solid choice for a short stay.

Nothing to dislike.

A stylish decor in the reception areas and hallways caught my eye upon arrival. The layout appeared cozy, but unfortunately, that was about where the positives ended.

Many aspects of the experience fell short, primarily due to cleanliness-stained walls and bathroom tiles. My room faced a brick wall, leaving little to enjoy outside. The Wi-Fi was problematic. I had to fill out a form to get access and it was intermittent at best. The bathroom lacked upkeep with visible soap build-up, and the mattress was far from comfortable. Technical details left much to be desired. There were no IT ports, no phone for emergencies, and the kettle's placement next to a desk lamp felt unsafe. The lack of accessible room information in the room turned simple tasks into a hassle, like needing to ask for basic supplies without a phone at hand.

The comfortable bed allowed for a restful sleep, but the room had a broken lamp.

Absolutely loved the breakfast vibe with delicious avocado on sourdough and roasted mushrooms, all while cozying up next to the log-burning stove! Plus, the expansive garden is perfect for kids to unleash their energy. Our double room was clean and cozy, great to enjoy a great night's sleep.

After switching rooms due to the heating being a no-show, we noticed all rooms could use a little TLC. The shower was a bit of a mishap-just a tie wrap holding things together. Still, the cozy environment saved the day!

Rooms need significant maintenance attention!!! Lighting inadequate in many areas!!! Wi-Fi connectivity unreliable, leading to frustrating disconnections !!! Better organization at reception area required!!!

The location was perfect for us, being close to the theatre. The staff, especially during meals, were attentive and friendly. Our double room was clean and cozy, great to enjoy a great night's sleep. We also appreciated the nice meals served in the restaurant.

The double room was comfy and spacious, definitely enough for a good night's sleep. The décor felt cozy, giving off a nice vibe. I loved the Nespresso machine for my morning coffee. I heard that the rooms are set for refurbishment soon, which might be needed since some fixtures looked slightly tired. It worked for my short stay!
